Partner in charge of residential and industrial subdivision projects and related matters. Responsibilities include formulation of contract proposals, client contact, quality control, coordinating the preparation of all subdivision mapping and engineering drawings and expediting projects through the approval process. Represent clients and projects at public hearings and provide complete support from the planning phases through the completion of construction.

Currently, Partner responsible for the Site and Environmental Engineering Departments. This work involves the preparation of conceptual studies, design plans and specifications, construction observation and certification for all phases of site development projects including residential, commercial and institutional facilities. Grading, drainage, utilities; codes compliance, landscaping, wastewater disposal facilities including denitrification treatment facilities and preparing pertinent sections of Environmental Impact Statements are all part of these development projects. For industrial clients, the preparation of Hazard Communication, Contingency, and Evacuation Plans for OSHA regulations is also accomplished.

Previously in charge of the Wastewater Operations subsidiary owned by the firm. This entailed daily supervision of the operating staff, supervision of SPDES and monthly report filings, plant process and monitoring well sampling representing the owner at regulatory meetings and coordination of sludge removal, chemical purchases and maintenance programs.

Prior professional experience includes working on projects located in Virginia and lower New York State. Also, served as Township Engineer in Central New Jersey.

As Partner in charge of the Environmental Engineering Department, Mr. Lembo’s duties include implementation and management of both design and construction phases of sewage treatment plants, pump station and force mains, chemical containment projects, collection systems, water distribution systems and site development projects. Mr. Lembo represents the firm at meetings with various clients, municipal review and approval agencies. Typical projects include:

  • Volatile Organic Compound Emissions Study from New York City's Wastewater Collection/Treatment Systems
  • Oversee the technical and administrative aspects of the Organic Priority Pollutant Study at 14 wastewater treatment plants citywide
  • Coordinate project change orders for the Division of Scientific Services. This included preparation of Contract documents as well as coordination with intra- and inter-agency personnel to expedite registration of change orders at the Comptrollers Office
  • Review and comment on proposed environmental legislation from Federal and State regulatory agencies that will affect New York City's wastewater treatment facilities

As a partner, has been involved in all technical and administrative aspects of the surveying and engineering services, and has designed and/or supervised the design of highway and road improvement projects, storm water collection and disposal systems, site improvements for commercial and residential projects; and performed the calculations and supervised the performance of the same for property line surveys, ROW acquisitions, ROW alignment, topographic surveys; realty subdivisions; supervised the scheduling of design projects and survey field & office work; office administrator and supervised office administrator.

Supervising Partner & Project Manager for retail subdivisions, townhouse/condominium projects, and individual commercial projects for private developers and supervising partner for various road improvements, dredging and surveying projects for municipal clients. Tasks include project management; client interfacing; supervising the preparation of mapping and construction engineering plans and documents; representation of client before various municipal boards and agencies.

Private sector projects include subdivision of two lots to in excess of 100 lots; townhouse/ condominium projects ranging from less than ten units to in excess of 300 units; and commercial and office projects consisting of commercial subdivisions, small retail or office developments, retail projects in excess of 200,000 square feet and office parks in excess of 1,000,000 square feet.

Municipal projects include surveying and road improvement projects; dredging soundings and monitoring; and municipal development site plans. Projects included the Clinton-Rose-Washington Avenue area of Hempstead; Lincoln Boulevard reconstruction in Islip; the reconstruction of County Road 29-Smithtown Avenue in the Town of Islip; Town of Huntington roadway and drainage reconstruction projects in East Northport, Melville and Huntington Village. Has also been involved with numerous projects requiring the use of New York State Department of Transportation standards and specifications.
