Preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessment with extensive historical search of past uses including a manufactured gas plant (MGP), asphalt plant, paint manufacture facility, and U.S. Post Office vehicle maintenance. Based on Phase I, prepared Phase II to investigate open NYSDEC petroleum spill and design remediation plan. Implemented oil spill remediation plan, followed by voluntary cleanup work plan for DNAPLs associated with prior MGP use.

Completed Phase I/Phase II Environmental Site Assessment of former farm property, identifying pesticide soil contaminant levels, underground tank storage, asbestos containing materials, dry well contamination, and solid waste violations. Performed site remediation including tank removal, dry well pumpout, asbestos removal, solid waste cleanup, and removal of pesticide contaminated soils. Confirmed adequacy of remediation through end point sample analysis, regulatory sign-offs and closure documentation.

Prepared Phase II Environmental Site Assessment for site with documented gasoline release. Performed further delineation of horizontal/vertical extent of contamination for design of remediation system. Gained approval of oxygen release compound (ORC) injection treatment design. Installed ORC system, performed principal injection and two quarterly sampling events demonstrating significant reduction in soil/groundwater contaminant levels.

Prepared Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) work plan for NYSDEC review and approval. Implemented RI/FS work plan overseeing all field operations to ensure QA/QC and work plan conformance. Performed interim remediation (IR) to provide immediate remedy of identified source discharges. Prepared RI/FS report exploring remedial options.

Retained to complete remedial work at site. Project involved soil excavation, petroleum soil segregation, soil sampling (including disposal and STARS sampling) and disposition, installation and monitoring of groundwater monitoring wells, and preparation of site closure report with NYSDEC coordination. Projected resulted in NYSDEC spill file closure.

Prepared sampling and analysis plan (SAP) for RCRA generator site with documented history of chemical release and industrial operations. Oversaw site closure and sampling and prepared RCRA site closure report for review by regulatory agencies.
